The band could not travel, so only one member plus the person financing the video were on set. The concept came out of that constraint: something inspired by The Twilight Zone, where the band haunts the lead as puppets. The puppets were built in Shanghai with an artist, drawing on the director's photography series turning people into toys, then brought to life with traditional animation and After Effects.

Shot run and gun in Hollywood with a rented old Cadillac and a camera rigged with a rug and tape, a deliberate contrast to the million-dollar car commercials the studio was shooting at the time.
