Questions.
Who is Studio Supreme?
Studio Supreme is a film production company founded in China in 2013. We produce commercials, brand films and music videos for international brands across Asia, Europe, the Gulf and the US, with live action, XR and AI pipelines on one production contract.
Where is Studio Supreme registered, and where is the team based?
Studio Supreme was founded in China in 2013 and runs its own registered company there. Its European entity is Studio Supreme OÜ in Tallinn, Estonia. The team is based day to day in Bangkok, and in Thailand we produce through a Thailand Film Office registered production partner.
Are you a production company or a director?
Both, deliberately separated. Studio Supreme is the production company. Olivier Hero Dressen directs, and that work lives on herodirector.tv. Clients hire us for the production, and the director attached is a separate conversation.
Is Studio Supreme the same company as Studio Supreme Films?
No. Studio Supreme Films, at studiosupremefilms.com, is a related but separate company that presents the narrative films, such as Kite and The Passport. Studio Supreme, on this site, is the production company for brands.
Which territories do you produce in?
In Shanghai and across China, in Brussels and in Paris we hold our own work authorisation and shoot directly. In Bangkok, Singapore, Dubai, Los Angeles, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Hong Kong, Tokyo and New York, Studio Supreme produces and a registered local production partner files the permits and contracts local crew.
What is the difference between shooting direct and through a local partner?
In Shanghai, Brussels and Paris we hold our own work authorisation and shoot directly. Everywhere else we produce through a registered local production partner who files the permit and contracts crew. That is the standard structure for any foreign production, not a workaround, and the partner sits inside the production budget rather than on top of it.
How does a shoot in Thailand work?
Studio Supreme produces and a Thailand Film Office registered partner files the permit and contracts local crew. This is the only legal structure available to any foreign production in Thailand, ours included.
Who handles filming permits and fixing in Thailand?
Our Thailand Film Office registered production partner files the filming permits and location clearances, handles customs carnets and equipment import, and contracts local crew. Studio Supreme produces the film and stays your single point of contact.
How does a shoot in China work?
Studio Supreme was founded in China in 2013 and runs its own registered company there. We handle permits, locations, local crew and talent directly, with teams working in English and Mandarin, from Shanghai to anywhere in the country.
Can you crew a shoot for us?
Yes. Line producers, production managers, DPs, gaffers, grips, art departments, stylists, post supervisors and colourists across fifteen cities: people we have worked with repeatedly, not a directory. Outside the territories where we shoot directly, local crew is contracted through the registered partner.
Can you produce one brand film across several Asian cities?
Yes, that is the reason the partner network exists rather than a single office. One schedule, one contract, one Studio Supreme producer as your point of contact, consistent lensing and grade across every unit, and consolidated delivery in every ratio each market needs.
Do you take on production only, or creative as well?
Either. Some clients arrive with a locked script and need execution across a territory. Others start from a one-line brief and we build the idea with them first. Where a brand already has an agency, we execute their creative without ego.
How does AI fit into your production pipeline?
Where it helps the idea. Most of our work is live action; some films are hybrid, and a few are made fully with AI using AI Render Pro, the render software we built, alongside current generative models. It runs inside a normal film process: boards, character bibles, takes, grade and a sound mix. Each project page says which pipeline it used.
What will you not generate with AI?
Anything where photographic truth is the product: real skin in beauty closeups, real food, or a real person or celebrity without written consent. Then we shoot, or we go hybrid and keep the hero elements photographic.
Who owns the deliverables of an AI production?
You do, under the production contract, exactly as with a filmed project. We stay transparent about what is generated and how it is licensed.
How is a production budget put together?
From your brief. Shoot days and crew size move a budget most, then the camera and lighting package, talent and usage, and permits for public locations. Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City run materially below Shanghai, which runs below Paris. We do not publish generic ranges: send the brief and the window and you get a real number for your project.
How fast do you respond to a brief?
Same working day, Bangkok time, with the questions that actually change the number.
How do we start a project?
Send a few lines to [email protected] or use the contact page: what you want to make, where, and roughly when. We come back with honest thoughts on the approach and a real number.
Let's talk.
Tell us the brief, the market and the window. You get a plan, a budget and a schedule back, not a deck about our values.
